Village Tavern - Bonifacio High Street

Dining in Bonifacio High Street has become a major feat.  Choosing from a variety of restaurants offering quality food in this area will make your head spin.  For this food review, we decided to eat at Village Tavern based on "word of mouth".

Entering Village Tavern, I was reminded of being in a wine lounge.  The upholstered chairs, wall murals and pendant lamps lining the booths provided lightness to their interiors.

For starters, we ordered the sweet potato fries.  This is a good alternative to french fries. They sprinkled the sweet potato fries with cinnamon which enhanced its sweetness.

If you're looking for a healthy alternative, consider ordering the Thai Chicken Salad.  It has a good mixture of salad greens, carrots, red cabbage, crunchy wanton strips and generous serving of chicken slices.

The Hot Crab Dip can be shared by 3-4 persons.  If you like creamy seafood dips, then this is for you.

Hoagie bread, hot crab dip, sourdough bread

The Grilled Chicken Penne was good.  I expected the cream sauce to overpower this dish but to my surprise it had a good balance of pasta and cream as well as a generous serving of chicken slices.

This Maple Cured Pork Tenderloin would satisfy anyone's meat cravings.  The mashed potato and french beans were cooked really well.  Overall, it is one filling dish.

This restaurant is perfect for family lunches, dinners and celebrating special occasions with your loved ones.  Servings are huge but you can opt to order their smaller portions so you can try out more dishes.
