I was in Jakarta for a few days to visit family. It was my first time to be there and was excited at the prospect of dining out first thing in the morning. Good thing we were right across a mall so we looked around for a good place to have breakfast and found this cool place named Monolog Quality Coffee Co..
The interiors of Monolog are quite stark. Its ceiling had exposed beams and pipes but it was well-lit. As a whole, I loved the minimalist look of the cafe.
While waiting, you can browse through a wide selection of magazines. Unfortunately, none of the magazines I liked were written in English.
Our coffee arrived and they tasted really good!

It was close to ten in the morning when we arrived so we both ordered Monolog's hearty breakfast.
The Eggs Benedict was amazing! It had the freshest smoked salmon I have ever tasted and combined with the poached egg, the ciabatta bread and a bit of the salad greens, every bite was to be savored.
The Countryside Breakfast Set was quite generous that I could not finish it by myself.
Monolog Quality Coffee Co. is actually a locally owned concept cafe which aims to be the best in Jakarta. For us, it was indeed a breakfast fit for champions and of global standards.
