Thames River Cruise & Greenwich

Springtime in London is a sight to behold.  Flowers are abloom and the bright sunny days leading to summer gives you more time to explore the city.

I remember taking the Thames River Cruise one weekend to Greenwich.  We stayed at the upper deck.  It is the best place to appreciate the sights of London.

The tour guide gave us wonderful insights of the different tourist spots along the Thames River.

The London Eye.

The Parliament Square and Big Ben.

St. Paul's Cathedral.

The Anchor, a famous London pub.

The Tower of London.

The Tower Bridge.

Canary Wharf Skyline.

(Trivia:  Greenwich is found on the souther part of London and is a world heritage site.  This place has a prime spot in maritime history and is the home to Greenwich Mean Time or GMT.  The GMT is a global time standard from the Royal Observatory in Greenwich, England.)

Arriving in Greenwich, we headed to Gourmet Burger Kitchen for lunch.  We took this photo of the city centre of Greenwich from the second floor of Gourmet Burger Kitchen.

The Spanish Galleon Tavern is a pub also located in the centre of Greenwich.   This tavern displays artifacts relating to the naval heritage of Greenwich.

Another Greenwich store offering candies, shirts, drinks, and souvenirs to both residents and tourists.

The Greenwich Market is a mainstay attraction in the area offering food, art objects, T-shirts and other items.

I truly miss the Thames River Cruise and Greenwich!
