Given our love for Thai food we managed to find Chandara Fine Thai Cuisine at Plaza Senayan Mall. According to the web, this dining outlet is supposedly famous for its Thai cuisine.
Upon entering, we noticed that despite the exposed beams, Chandara's interiors are tastefully done. Smokers will like the fact that they have their own air-conditioned dining area located at the rear of the restaurant.
We discovered this yummy drink called Lychee Lemon Squash. It is a non-alcoholic drink that contains lychee puree, mint, lemon juice, soda water and syrup. It has a cooling effect especially when you have a spicy meal.
The Shrimp Pomelo Salad was good. The pomelo was juicy and the shrimp pieces were plentiful.
The Steamed Sea Bass was so fresh it seemed as if it was caught right out of the water! The sauce was a bit salty though.
We had the Broccoli with garlic or Brocoli Gratiam for our vegetable fix. It was cooked well and gave a good balance to the other dishes we ordered.
The Grilled Australian Sirloin Beef or Neua Yang was fantastic! We loved how it was sliced so thinly that the meat tasted very much of the spices it was marinated in. There was no need to dip it in the spicy sauce.
It was a very satisfying meal and we went back to Chandara for another meal before leaving Jakarta.
