The Premier Cinema at Plaza Senayan Mall, Jakarta

What are the odds that Jakarta has its own first class cinema at Plaza Senayan Mall?

We were going around the mall after our satisfying dinner at Chandara Fine Thai Cuisine.

One floor above Chandara was Plaza Senayan Mall's cinema.

We decided to watch a movie and was pleased to find that Plaza Senayan Mall has its own first class cinema called The Premiere.

There was a waiting lounge for first class cinema goers and a man handed out numbers to purchase the movie tickets. It was a Saturday night so the cinema was full. We learned that movie goers for The Premiere usually make reservations to guarantee their seats.

Luckily, there were two unclaimed seat reservations for the Amazing Spiderman movie. Since the movie was about to start, they offered the seats to us.

The movie costs around USD15.00 per person and no snacks were included.

Compared to my SF Cinema experience in Bangkok, I would say that the former was better. SF Cinema has a hip lounge serving light snacks plus unlimited popcorn and soda with your movie ticket. 

On the other hand, Plaza Senayan's Cinema provides first class service if you order from the cinema's cafe. Simply put, your order will be brought to your seat.

The movie already started when we came in so I could not get any photos of the cinema. The seats were really nice - much like a Lazy-boy and each seat is provided with its own blanket. The blankets were wrapped in plastic ensuring that they were new.

We enjoyed the new release of the Spiderman movie as well as the comfort of Plaza Senayan's first class cinema.
